25 <br /> January 22,1992 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to <br /> orderat 8:50 a.m., January 22, 1992, in the City Council <br /> Chambers of the Everett City Hall, President Gipson presiding. <br /> Upon roll call itw s found that Mayor Kinch and all councilmen <br /> were present.except Councilmen Anderson and Pope who were <br /> excused. <br /> The minutes of the January 15, 1992 City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed. <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> Mayor <br /> Kinch <br /> iproclaimed January 24, 1992, "National Activity <br /> Professionals <br /> ay^ in r cognition of professionals who strive <br /> to improve the quality of life for older Americans and disabled <br /> lntliviauals. - -.; <br /> MAYOR'S COMMENTS <br /> The Mayor announced that he had r ved a retirement request <br /> Prom City Attorney Bruce Jones,effective March 1. Mr. <br /> has m a tremendous contribution to the Citrf Everett.on <br /> He <br /> ' has served under five mayors. All wished him success. <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Councilman Campbell announced that there would be s awards <br /> ceremony at the Senior Center recognizing the cooks and staff. <br /> Councilman'Overstreeta omplimentetl r esident Gipson his <br /> part in organizing theMartin LutherKing ceremony. He <br /> also reminded councilmembers of a Snohomish CountyTomorrow <br /> meeting this afternoon at the Senior Center. <br /> Councilman Moser stated that there would be a combined Everett <br /> Transit/Community Transit meeting January 30th and asked <br /> councilmembers to attend. <br /> Councilman Diamond brought attention to the Pact that <br /> councilmembers'parking spaces are being used by others. <br /> C� <br />
