89 <br /> March 11,1992 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to <br /> order at 8:30 a.m.,Alarch 11, 1992, in the City Council Chamber <br /> of the Everett City Hall, President Gipson presiding. Upon roll <br /> call it was found that Mayor Kinch and all councilmen were <br /> present. <br /> The minutes of the March 4, 1992, City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed. Councilman Diamond abstained from the vote. <br /> OATH OF OFFICE <br /> Deputy Police chief Mike Campbell introduced Miguel Bernardi, <br /> new police officer, who was sworn in by the Deputy City Clerk. <br /> He then received his badge from Mayor cinch. <br /> 9 PROCLAMATION <br /> Mayor Kinch proclaimed March 13 - 20, 1592 as Irish Heritage <br /> Week. Mary Charles, Everett Sister Cities/Sligo, accepted the <br /> proclamation and informed Council of forthcoming activities. <br /> MAYOR'S COMMENTS <br /> 'e Soverns Safety, on the great job <br /> hrirs'Bionirg,coaretteedCi%%1'inspection'by they5epartment of Labor <br /> and Industries found no violations. <br /> As Finance Director Bin Cushman is in Olympia today,the Mayor <br /> requested that agenda item #5, Community Theater Report, be <br /> rescheduled. <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Councilman Anderson reported that the National Leagao of Iitles <br /> Conference he attended in Washington, D.C. this past week was <br /> very informative. He will be relaying Pertinent information i0 <br /> other departments. <br /> Councilman Campbell also attended the conference and reported <br /> that E,erett was very advanced compared to other ces in the <br /> nation with respect to youth projects. <br />
