Upon <br /> roll call it was Pound that Mayor Kinch and all councilmen were <br /> presentxw <br /> cept Councilman Anderson who as excused and <br /> Councilman Diamond who will be arriving late. <br /> Mayor Kinch led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes bf the July 29, 1992.City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed.:. <br /> MAYOR'S COMMENTS <br /> Mayor.Kinchpassedout copies.of..an articlein the New York <br /> Times that focused.on,ggverett's.City Hall at the Mall.. <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Councilman Overstreet commented on the antique car <br /> sponsored.by Deaconess Children's Services. He recognized s <br /> c the <br /> Parks..Departmentfor all work had donee making the <br /> surrounding area beautiful.. Councilman:Maser also expressed <br /> thatthe car show was a success. <br /> PRESIDENT'S COMMENTS <br /> esident Gipson a unced that there would be an executive <br /> session after the Council meeting[otlay. <br /> He explained that Councilman Diamond's mother haspassed away <br /> last evening and asked for a moment of silence at the end of <br /> the meeting. li <br /> ATTORNEY'S COMMENTS <br /> City Attorney Mike weight informed Council that the executive <br /> session would address personnel and legal matters today. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Betty Morrow, President of the Historical Commisslon, gave an <br /> update on[e projects being•Crked on by the Historical <br /> C <br />
