291 <br /> August 12,1992 <br /> Councilman Overstreet commended the Everett Parks and <br /> Recreation Department on another successful•Arts in the Parkw. <br /> JRPC REGIONAL TRANSIT PLAN <br /> Councilman loser as the City's representative to the Joint <br /> Regional Planning Council for regional transportation, invited <br /> the Council to eV-end a workshop on Saturday, August 15, 1992, <br /> on the Snohomish County Regional Transportation Plan. <br /> Councilman Moser introduced Karen Savage of KJS Associates.of <br /> Bellevue who reviewed the alternatives under consideration for <br /> the Snohomish County Rail Alignment. She also reviewed the <br /> proposed process and guidelines for the RTA boundaries. <br /> Councilman Overstreet stressed the need for the Councilmembers <br /> to be sure to obtain the necessary information in order to make <br /> knowledgeable decisions. <br /> Bill Link, Transit Manager, emphasized the necessity, for the <br /> elected members, to know the problems and alternatives which <br /> rs have long reaching impacts on transportation for many <br /> yeato come. <br /> (-) <br /> PRESIDENT'S COMMENTS <br /> President Gipson made two housekeeping announcements, <br /> 1. The correct amount of the Payroll Resolution under <br /> Item f2 is$1,705,241.73. <br /> 2. The minutes of July 29th have been corrected to <br /> show that the bid award for the asbestos abatement <br /> at the Everett Transit Center is to Long Services <br /> Corporation,the lowest and most responsive bidder. <br /> President Gipson announced that item 06, appeal of Hearing <br /> Examiner's Decision upholding the City's requirement for street <br /> improvements for Paul Verger's Short Subdivision #2-92 Co <br /> removed from today's agenda. <br /> President Gipson noted that the executive session on today's <br /> agenda would be cancelled. <br /> 0 <br />
