322 <br /> September 2,1992 <br /> DONATION-DARE <br /> Marian Krell,5013 Elm Street, told Councilmembers that she had <br /> received a 81,000 award from the McKesson Corporation' her <br /> employer, for her community involvement (Councilof <br /> Neighborhoods and Neighborhood Oriented Citizen Policing Task <br /> Force). She said it was her wish to donate this 51,000 to the <br /> DARE program for the purchase of video equipment. Mark <br /> Thacker, DARE, received the donation and expressed thanks. He <br /> also told councilnembers the Everett DARE Program is on the <br /> cutting edge end that it is due to community and council <br /> support both economically and their physical presence at <br /> various meetings. <br /> ADOPT-A-STREET <br /> Margy O'Grady, Public WL.rks, recognized Randy McSmith who <br /> suggested the Adopt-A-Street program in a letter to the Mayor. <br /> This program allows businesses and organizations to adopt a <br /> street and remove litter from that street. He also thanked the Mayor <br /> for his involvement in the State Labor Council convention that <br /> was in town last week. <br /> • <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> All the counellmembers recognized Marian Krell for her hard <br /> work and'involvement in the coummunity and her generosity in <br /> donating 51,000 to DARE. The video equipment will be greatly <br /> appreciated. <br /> Councilmen Anderson reported that there had been concerns <br /> regarding signage in the parking lot at the library. Those <br /> concerns are being addressed and library hours will be posted. <br />
