365 <br /> October 7,ISS2 <br /> THEREFOPE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> EVERETT authorize Mayor Pete Winch to seem a Conservation <br /> Futures application from Snohomish County, for the acquisition <br /> of the Weyco Site from the City of Everett Utilities Department. <br /> Roll was called with all councilmen voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> RESOLUTION-1994 NEIGHBORHOOD USA CONVENTION <br /> Haled <br /> Councilman.11i-114:Anderson introduced a resolution in support of <br /> hosting the 1994 Neighborhoods U.S.A.Conference. <br /> biles=7,LAn="neo 7=dy td'ortil!nart%p'3992; <br /> Neighborhoods U.S.A.Conference as follows: <br /> WHEREAS,neighborhoods are the backbone of our community;and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett has assumed a leadership role in <br /> establishing the Office of Neighborhoods in an effort to <br /> =vide a forum Rye citizen participation in city government; <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of Neighborhoods has been enormously <br /> successful in reaching its goals with the organization of 15 <br /> neighborhoods that are working together for the betterment of <br /> our community;and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett is committed to nurturing and <br /> strengthening strong neighborhood associatcons and creating a <br /> model for other communities nation-wide to emulate;and <br /> WHEREAS, Neighborhoods U.S.A. is a national group of citizen <br /> leaders who meet annually to share ideas and solutions for our <br /> neighborhoods; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF EVERETT to actively bid to host the 1994 Neighborhoods <br /> U.S.A.Conference. <br /> Roll was called with ell councilmen voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br />
