He related that it was a good conference <br /> and that he had the opportunity to tour the naval base in San <br /> Diego. Their base is much larger than ours <br /> rill be. One of <br /> the topics of discussion revolved around the problems of public <br /> transit versus <br /> s base transit. Don Lord, Transit, represented <br /> the City eof Everett in the bus rodeo. Bill Link, Transit <br /> Director,also attended the Conference. <br /> PRESIDENT'S COMMENTS <br /> President Gipson introduced a proclamation designating <br /> December 1, 1992 as World AIDS Day end urged all citizens to <br /> take part in activities and observances designed to increase <br /> awareness and understanding' of AIDS global challenge. <br /> Thisproclamation will be presented to the Snohomish County <br /> Health District. <br /> ATTORNEY'S COMMENTS 0 <br /> City Attorney Nike Weight requested a cutive session on a <br /> real estate maetex ana a persennal matterexe <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Frank Figg, Boeing Company, gave a brief update on Boeing's <br /> expansion project. One building is Completed, a rel Others <br /> underway. Approximately 0,500 employees will be transferred to <br /> Everett. HB thanked Council for their continued support end <br /> referenced the Airport Road overlay project.
