He revealed that the proposed park was <br /> right next to the railroad switching yard. He felt it would be <br /> more appropriate to Use the money 50 improve Jackson Park. <br /> ss Johnson, Planning, responded that the 'neighborhood had <br /> voted unanimouely for using their block grant money for this <br /> project., ,He also explained,that the federal,government <br /> requires an environmental study when grant money is being used. • <br /> Moved by Councilman Diamono, seconded by Councilman Overstreet <br /> to authorize the Mayor to sign an...Mental FlUdi5 CLIntreC5 <br /> including a'hold harmless"clause for Northeast View Perk with <br /> Dames and Moore,Inc.for the amount of$17,717. <br /> Roll was called with all councilmen voting yes except <br /> Councilman Moser who voted no. <br /> • <br /> - <br /> Notion carried. <br /> • • <br /> • <br /> AGREEMENT-REGIONAL RIDER SURVEY <br /> Moved by Councilman Moser, seconded by Councilman Overstreet to ' <br /> authorize the Mayor to execute a contract between the Puget <br /> Sound Regional Council (PSRC) and the City of Everett/Everett <br /> Transit for the PORE to provide UP to 59,700 to support an <br /> on-board rider survey, ' <br /> • <br /> • • <br /> Councilman moser stated there was also a strong need for an <br /> in-house survey. Public Works Director Ken Housden agreed and <br /> explained that these studies are used as a bakis for federal <br /> funding,as well as being informational. <br /> Roll was called with all councilmen voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> • <br /> C. <br />
