The <br /> snowflakes gracing the windows on the first floor of City Hall <br /> were made by Ms. Thomas' morning and afternoon kindergarten <br /> classes at Whittier Elementary School. <br /> EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH _ <br /> Vic Chapman of the CHIP(Community Housing Improvement Program) <br /> staff was honored as the December Employee of the Month. <br /> ATTORNEY COMMENTS <br /> Michael Weight, City Attorney, ced that the executive <br /> session scheduled for this evening been rescheduled for <br /> next week's meeting. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Mike Hawkins, 1509 Celtfornia;Mark.Spada of the South Everett <br /> Youth Center, 7600 '.Cascade. Drive{ Michael Long, 1031 <br /> Rockefeller; and Debra Drain, 2808 Hoyt; encouraged the City's 7 1 <br /> participation in the Snohomish County Gangs Task Force. <br /> Jim Scharf, Snohomish County Sheriff, commended the City for <br /> their participation on the youth gang issues. He explained the <br /> participation and financial commitment of the Sheriff's Office <br /> with the Snohomish County Gangs Task Force. <br /> Councilmen Overstreet asked for a response at the workshop as <br /> to how the Task Forcea s the 50 cents per capita, that <br /> ae <br /> Everett may commit, will be used. point to some <br /> specifics that the funding would be used forto help in this <br /> prevention effort. <br /> Susan Reichman, 816 35th Street, commended the police <br /> department,especially officers Dan Smith end Butch Braley,for <br /> their aid when she surprised a burglar in her home. <br /> C) <br />
