• <br /> 502 <br /> December 30,1992 <br /> The meeting reconvened at 9:35 a.m. <br /> RESOLUTION-JACKSON PROJECT <br /> In order to protect the availability of adequate drinking <br /> water and as co-licensee in the Jackson Project, a resolution <br /> to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission is in order. <br /> Moved by Councilman Pope' seconded by Councilman Anderson to <br /> adopt Resolution No. 3722authorizing a letter to be sent by <br /> the Mayor to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), <br /> invoking full City participation in all Jackson Project issues <br /> as follows( <br /> WHEREAS the City is co-licensee in the Henry M.Jackson Project <br /> (FERC Ns.2157)with Snohomish County PUD,and <br /> WHEREAS the City, along with the PUD, has the responsibility <br /> and obligation to insure that all articles of the FERC license <br /> for the Jackson Project and the PUD-City agreement are complied <br /> with,and <br /> rn%:VuellbTOfiZ47:=1;Xhon=d=4,inanidng water <br /> to <br /> WHEREAS the Jackson Project construction is completed and <br /> normal operations have commenced; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City <br /> of Everett that the Mayor shall inform the Federal Energy <br /> Regulatory Commission that the City intends Co assure the full <br /> responsibilities of a co-licensee and that in all project <br /> too tters before the FERC the City shall represent itself. <br /> Roll was called with all councilmen voting yes except <br /> Councilmen Diamond and Overstreet who were excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Upon motion the meeting adjourned at 0145 a.m. <br /> 4101, <br /> 'Aay <br /> Read and approved as printed. <br />
