Pebmery 23,2000 • AGREEMENT-ANIMAL SHELTER SERVICES/CITY OF ARLINGTON • • Moved by Counilmmnber Gipson,seconded by Councilmember Warnock to authorize the Mayor to sign an ANmal Shelter Agreement with the City of Arlington. This agreement will provide for compemadon to the Ciry of Everett at the rate 00520.30 per animal plus fees collated from owners and adoptive families. Cwrcilmember Anderson reported that this item came before the Budget Committee and has been recommended for approval. Carlton Gipson staled that the duration clause of the contract has been changed from"a perpetual agreement that can be terminated upon 90 days notice by either party"In"shall Muninatr ninety(90)days after the date of signing.' There war discussion regarding the need for other shelter facilities to be built in the area. Mayor Hansen suggested Rata workshop would he in order. Moved by Coundlmember Gipson,seconded by Coamilmember Anderson to amend the wording in the duration clause of the contract from"a perpetual agreement that an he terminated upon 90 days notice by either parr'^to"shall terminate ninety(90)days atter the date of signing.^ Roll was called on the amendment to the motion with all councilmzmber voting yes except Councilmembers Simpson and Overstreet who voted n. Motion armed. Rall was called on the amended motion with all couneilntembere voting Yee except Councilmember Simpson who voted n. Motion carried.
