Marsh 22,2000 , t <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> m.,March 22,2000,in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall, <br /> President Campbell presiding.Upon roll call it was fount that Mayor Hansen <br /> and Cauncilmembers Anderson,Simpson,Warnock,Gipson,Campbell,Pope <br /> and Overstreet were present. <br /> CounciNcember Warnock led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the March 15,2000 City Council meeting were approval as <br /> printed.Counciltnember Gipson abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> REPORT <br /> Paul Kaftanski,Administration,gave a brief report regarding Sound Transit's <br /> plan to acquire five parcels of land to provide additional commuter rail parking <br /> on the east side of Eurtington Northern Stela Fe's main line.They will include <br /> a recycling yard owned by Song Kim;Nelson Petroleum owned by Dm-Nel. <br /> Inc.;and three separate parcels of lend owned by Burlington Northern Santa Pe, <br /> Trillium Corporation and Panama Machinery and Equipment,Lac. <br /> Mayor Hansen reported that ha and Councihnember Overstreet attended the <br /> Puget Sound Regional Council events and that the City of Everett received an <br /> award for their participation in the Puget Sound Rail Pass program. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Councilntanbers Warnock.Anderson and Gipson stated that they attended the <br /> National League of Cities'Conference in Washington,DC.and gave brief <br /> reports on the co0muoeo meetings and events which they attended. <br />
