lane,12,2000 <br /> RESOLUTION—PLANNING/FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> Moved by Cauncilmmmber Anderson, seconded by C0000ihuember <br /> Warnock to adopt Resolution No.0861 regarding planning for the Everett <br /> Fire Department as follows: <br /> WHEREAS,to City's elected officials recognize the complex nature of <br /> delivering the City's many diverse emergency services provided by the Everett <br /> Five Department;and <br /> WHEREAS,the Everett Fire Department provides emergercy services to a <br /> growing population in an expanding geographical area;and <br /> WHEREAS,the City's elected officials believe providing high-quality public <br /> safety services is one of the City's highest priorities;and <br /> WHEREAS,strategic planning and budgeting ha necessary to assure the City's <br /> emergency service deeds are mol; <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED,that the Evemt Fire Administration <br /> shall develop a strategic plan which addresses the Fits Oepasmtent's needs for <br /> staffing,training,facilities,equipment and other relevant matters;and <br /> FURTHER RESOLVED,that the strategic plan will include the department's <br /> recommended goals and guidelines drawing upon the best national resources <br /> available for fire services;and <br /> FURTHER RESOLVED,that the department shall maintain a system of records <br /> concerning response tines,station call bads and oder information which will <br /> stable evaluatm <br /> ion of the deparet'a success in meeting its goals and <br /> guidelinm;and <br /> FURTHER RESOLVED,that At Fire Administration shall complete its <br /> strategic plan by December 31,2000. <br />
