January 19 2000 <br /> PURCHASE-SEVENTEEN(I])POLICE VEHICLES <br /> Moved by Councibnember Warnock, seconded by Counellmember <br /> Overstreet to approve the purchase of seventeen(17)police vehicles from <br /> Washington State Contract 10299 in the amount of$3%,138.00. <br /> This purchase is intended to replace seventeen vehicles per the approved 2000 <br /> vehicle replacement plan. The seventeen replacement vehicles have been <br /> identified as being available from competitively bid Washington State contracts. <br /> We have an interlocal purchasing agreement with the State that allows us to <br /> make purchases from their competitively awarded contracts in lieu of soliciting <br /> bide of our own. The replaced vehicles will be surplused when their <br /> replacements are pot into service. <br /> Roll was called with all counoilmembers voting yes except Couscilmmbers <br /> Anderson,Gipson and hope who were excused. <br /> Motbn carried. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING-COMMUNITY BLOCK GRANT NIEOHBORHOOD <br /> IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM <br /> President Campbell opened a public hearing regarding a proposed ordinance, <br /> creating a special construction food entitled"Community Black Grant <br /> Neighborhood Improvement Program." <br /> President Campbell invited public comment.There was no response. <br /> Moved by Councilmmber Warnock, seconded by Counrilmember <br /> Overstreet to close the public hearing. <br />
