April 19,3000 <br /> Councilmember Anderson commented that this is an opportunity to get rid of a <br /> property which io a liability to the City. <br /> Councilmember Overstreet stated that this is a bsd time to similes the garage <br /> due to a shortage of parking in the downtown core. <br /> Roll was called with all cauocilmembers voting yes except Councilmembers <br /> Gipson and Overstreet who voted m and Councilmember Warnock who was <br /> excused. <br /> City Attorney Soles stated that the motion required five vma under the City <br /> Charter to pass,a majority plus one. <br /> Motion defeated. <br /> Councilmember Campbell requested that a proposal on the costs to renovate the <br /> parking garage be presented to the City Council. <br /> Mayor Hansen stated theta workshop to look at the garage in context with all of <br /> the City properties would be in order. <br /> Jim favgus,CAA,commented that a workshop could be scheduls for the third <br /> week in Mav and hat clan up on the parking garage will begin as soon as <br /> possible. <br /> COUNCIL BILL NO.004-9 <br /> SECOND READING! <br /> AN ORDINANCE creating the special construction funs entitled"City <br /> Facility Consmtedon", Fund 362,to accumulate all design and <br /> .nstruction <br /> is for ongoing City facility construction and <br /> improv ement projects. <br />
