May 1%2000 <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Doug Ferguson,2707 Colby Avenue,spoke in support of the City's <br /> participation in a public hearing process regarding a potential move of the <br /> Snohomish County offices to Paine Feld. He spoke in support of the <br /> downtown corridor as the location for the Snohomish County seat. He <br /> suggested that a public nansponation shuttle may help relieve parking <br /> problems. <br /> John Witten,4510 S.3^Avenue,spoke against the sale of the Simpson <br /> property and Intl fill site to private investors. He stated that the property <br /> should be used for the benefit of the public,not the benefit of private investors. <br /> Michele Hoverter,5502 S.2n0 Avenue,thanked the Planning Deparnnent for <br /> the Riverbom Properties Report.She voiced carcem that public input will not <br /> be heeded.She spoke in favor of open space but stated Out the East Everett <br /> Athletic Field property is located on a floodplain. Another comma was that <br /> there is a proposal for a major arterial in the vicinity of the Lowell arm. <br /> Allan May,5216 S.30 Avenue,stated that the opinions of the Lowell Civic <br /> organisation are not the views of the entire community. <br /> Gail Cbism,4601 S.4a Avenue,commended that Planning Department on the , <br /> Riverbom Properties repon;however,stated that some of the information was <br /> not eerily how she viewed it.
