June 28,2000 <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Cauncilmembers Overstreet,Warnock and Simpson gave reports regarding the <br /> Association of Washington Cities conference they attended. <br /> Cauncihnembers Overstreet end Warnock encouraged everyone to attend the <br /> Fourth of July Parade and celebration.A thank-you goes to Andrea Richards <br /> end the Jeyes for all their lard work. <br /> Councilmember Pope reported that he attended a National League of Cities <br /> Transportation Committee meeting. Rail impacts were discussed as well as <br /> transit funding equality. <br /> Coutcilmember Simpson reported that he attended an Economic Development <br /> Council update meeting.He wished Frank Figg,the SDC Outman,good luck <br /> on his retirement. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> Mark Soiree,City Attorney,requested an executive session regarding a litigation <br /> matter following Citizen Comments to last we with no anticipated <br /> announcement,and a session following the meeting regarding dues litigation <br /> sawn to last I5 minutes with no anticipated announcements following the <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Michelle Hoverter,5502 S 2,clarified that she A not against all development <br /> with regards to the River00nt properties.She further sated that she believes in <br /> he importance of green space for children and neighborhoods. She also <br /> questioned the Comp Plan amendment process and asked the City Council to <br /> consider public need versus private need when making decisions regarding the <br /> Shoreline Plan. <br />
