July 12,2000 <br /> AYES: Warnock,Campbell,Pop.,Unmoral <br /> NAYS: Simpson,Gipson <br /> EXCUSED: Anderson <br /> Ordinance No.2961-00 adopted. <br /> Ceuncilmember Pope reported that die Public Safety Committee recommends <br /> approval of the following proposed ordinances. <br /> Scan Santoro,Legal,gave a summary of the following proposed ordinances. <br /> He also stated that that proposed erdirances will comply with remit State <br /> legislation. The maximum penalnes will no.,be under one section. Elder <br /> abuse or vulnerable adult abuse is also addressed. <br /> Laura Van Slyck,Assistant City Attorney,gave a summary of the proposed <br /> ordinance relating to the protection of children and dependent persons.This is <br /> rite where parents or people enhuated with the physical custody of children <br /> or other dependent persons are criminally negligent and cause herrn to those <br /> persons or abandon those persons and withdraw the basic necessities of life. <br /> COUNCIL BILL NO.0006-21 <br /> THIRD AND FINAL READING: <br /> AN ORDINANCE relating to Foreign Protection Orders,emending <br /> Section 6 of Ordinance Na.291749(EMC 10.2L050). <br /> Moved by Couo0Jmember Pope,seconded by Couailmpober Warnock that <br /> this is declared to be the third and Proal reading of Contort Bill No.0006-21 <br /> and the City Clerk is directed to call the roll for the rural disposition of the <br /> ordinance. <br />
