August 2,2000 <br /> The regular mating of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> m.,August 2,2000 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Flail, <br /> President Campbell presiding.Upon roll call it was found that Councilmembers <br /> Anderson,Simpson,Wamock,Gipson,Campbell,Pope and Overstreet were <br /> present.Mayor Hansen was eacu:ed. <br /> Councilmember Warnock led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the July 26,2000 City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed.Couneilmemben Anderson and Gipson abstained from the vote. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Couaiimemben thanked the individuals responsible for organiaing the National <br /> Night Out Against Crime and the Salty Sea Days Association Lr bringing lodge <br /> foe Brown to the City of Everett. <br /> Councilmember Gipson requested that the Planning Department make a <br /> presentation regarding any proposed growth planned for Providence-General <br /> Hospital's Colby Campus. <br /> Councilmember Overstreet tenoned that he attended the Puget Sound Regional <br /> Council's executive board mating last Wednesday. <br /> Councilmember Warnock and Campbell reported that they attended the adoption <br /> ceremonies for the USS Abraham Lincoln. <br /> Councilmember Warrak commended the Park staff for their"Music i,the <br /> Parks"series. <br /> Councilmember Anderson reported that he attended the American Public <br /> Transportation Association's board meeting where they drafted a handbook for <br /> the annual conference in September,2000. <br /> Councilmember Simpson stated Nat he attended the opening ceremonies of the <br /> Nubian lam and the Filipino-American Association of North Puget Sound <br />' 332 <br />
