August 9,2000 <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Everett offers a wide variety of transit ac.seible <br /> employment,shopping,entertainment,recreation and educational opportunities; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS,ATO Local 883 desires to express iu appreciation to the community <br /> for its continued support;and <br /> WHEREAS,ATO Local 883 is proud of the service it provides and wants to <br /> express its appreciation to the community in a tangible way,reflective of the <br /> service;end <br /> WHEREAS,ATO Local 883 agrees to reimburse the City of Everett Everett <br /> Transit the stated average fire per boarding for each special ticket redeemed in the <br /> fare box;and <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Everett reoogsiaes that special promotional opportunities <br /> may introduce newcwtomers m Everett Transit; <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF EVEREST to declare that a special one way trip ticket be established <br /> for distribution by ATU Local 883 to visitors of the hated information booth at <br /> the Aquasox game on August 15,2000. Said ticket shall be good on Everett <br /> Transit bus.any time,during regular hours of operation,up to the printed <br /> eepir tion date of October 31,2000. <br /> Councilmember Anderson reported that this item hes been reviewed by the <br /> Budget Committee. <br /> Councilmember Gipson had questions regarding the distribution of tickets.Ken <br /> Housden,Transportation Services,eeeweoed that ATU will be responsible for <br /> ticket distribution and Everett Transit will be reimbursed for the tickets used. <br /> Councilmember Overstreet requested a report back to the city council following <br /> this event. <br /> Roll was called with all councilmembers voting yes. <br /> Motion curled. <br />
