August 16,0000 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order a 7:00 p.m., <br /> August 16,2000,in the City Coancil Chambers of the Everett City Hall,President <br /> Campbell presiding. Upon roll call it was found that Mayor Hanan and <br /> Councilmembers Anderson,Simpson,Warnock,Gipson,Campbell,Pope and <br /> Overstreet were present. <br /> City Attorney Soirw led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> f1 The minutes of the August 9,2000 City Council meeting were Wooed as <br /> printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Hansen announced that the USS Abraham Lincoln will be leaving Evert. <br /> tomonow morning fora six month deployment in the Arabian Gulf. <br /> REPORT <br /> Ionic McMullin,Performing Ara,gave a brief repo.on Warner Brother's <br /> filming of the"Fugitive"in the City of Everett and the economic benefits it will <br /> provide.Kat Muir,Assistant Location Manager,mat 1 that it has been great <br /> working in the City of Everett and thanked the City for welcoming them. <br /> Mayor Hanan remarked that Governor Gorge Bush was in Even.on Saturday <br /> morning. <br /> GolhNca <br /> Councilmmtbm Gipson,Warrak and Simpson report that they amended the <br /> Riverside Neighborhood's social on Saturday. <br /> Cuuncibnmber Gipson stated that he participated in an award ceremony at the <br /> Everett Historical Theater. <br />
