August 30,2000 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> am.,August 30,2000,in the City Council Chambers of the Everen City Hall, <br /> Preside.Campbell presiding.Upon roll can it was found that Cauocilnembers <br /> Anderson,Simpson,Warnock,Gipson,Campbell,Pope and Overstreet were <br /> present.Mayor Hansen was excused. <br /> Council Director Deb Williws led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> Couvcilmember Gipson requested that his remarks under the August 23,2000 <br /> "Council Comments"be corrected to read"lifestyle emertaimoem corer"w <br /> place of"transfer station."The mioates of the August 23,2000 City Council <br /> meeting were approved as corrected. <br /> • COUNCIL <br /> Councilmembers Gipson and Simpson remarked on the passing of Jim Wilson, <br /> ownex of Wilson's Delicatessen,and Bud Willard,a Police Department <br /> volunteer. <br /> Couvcilmember Warnock reported that be attended the Snohomish County <br /> Tomorrow mating. He stated that they passed next year's budget which <br /> included S15,000.00 for a facilitator to assist with preparations for the <br /> population allocation process.He requested that Wendy Baker,Parks,give a <br /> report on the Musk in the Parks series at next week's Council meeting. <br /> Counoilmember Simpson stated that be mended the presentation of the Mayor's <br /> Annual Summer Reading Awards at the Library. <br /> • <br /> PRESIDENT <br /> President Campbell commented that an additional handout has been distributed <br /> for agenda item#6,a proposed resolution regarding transportation ftdlag and <br /> equity. <br /> 371 <br />
