The lien has since been satisfied. <br /> Coanilmembers discussed how to proceed since a motion had already been made <br /> at the August 23 mating.Adecision was made to call for the vote and def the <br /> Roll was called with all Councilmembea voting no. <br /> Motion defeated. <br /> RESOLUTION-TRANSPORTATION BOUTS <br /> Moved by Councilmember Simpson,seconded by Cauntllmember Overstreet <br /> to adopt Resolatioa No,4949 with regard to transportation equity. <br /> Gail Chism,4601 S.49 Avenue,stated her concerns regarding the proposed <br /> resolution. • <br /> y <br /> Councilmenber Simpson stated that there will be a mating of the Blue Ribbon <br /> Commission on September 13,2000 at the Navy Commons where they will take <br /> public comments regarding this natter. • <br /> Resolution No.4949 is as follows: li <br /> WHEREAS,one of the core principles of tax policy must be the tenet of <br /> faunas and equity for the taxpayers to the maximum extent possible;sed <br /> WHEREAS,in the Central Puget Sound,in the case of investment of tax dollars <br /> for state transportation seeds,them has nearly always been something less than <br /> dollar-for dollar ax equity for the taxpayers of Everett and Snohomish County, <br /> well as the taxpayers in King and Pierce Counties sad the cities within those <br /> counties;and <br /> WHEREAS,for Snohomish County,in the decade between 1989 and 1998,for <br /> every dollar in sate transportation axes paid to the sate by the county's <br /> taxpayers,only 89 cents came back in transportation investments,according to a <br /> 380 <br />
