August 30,2000 <br /> AGREEMENT—EVERETT STATION <br /> Moved by Cnuncilmember Anderson, seconded by Couucilmember <br /> Overstreet to authorise the Mayor to execute the Everett Station funding <br /> agreement with the National Railroad Passenger Corporation(dba Amtrak). <br /> As part of Amtrak's bog range capital program,Amtrak contributes to <br /> importation meter projects like Everen Station. The Amtrak Board of <br /> Direcmrs approved a SI million contribution to the Everett Station project. <br /> Similar to other projects that have received contributions Eons Amtrak,the <br /> etribudon is in lieu of lease payments for the first twenty years of tenancy. <br /> Amtrak.however,will pay for its own janitorial anti utility costs.A§600,000 <br /> payment will be received by the end of October 2000.The remaining 5400,000 <br /> will be invoiced to Amtrak at substantial completion,November 30,C01. <br /> Roll was called with all counc0membem voting yes. <br /> Mutton carried. <br /> WIGGUMS HOLLOW PARK MASTER PLAN <br /> Moved by Counellmember Anderson, seconded by Conncilmember <br /> Overstreet to adapt the proposed Wrggums Hollow Park Master Plan. <br /> Couucilmembers Overstreet and Simpson commended the Parks staff for then <br /> outreach to the neighborhoods and community an this project. <br /> Bob Cooper,Parks,explained that the master plan includes a skateboard park;a <br /> community garden area;open fields;an entrance area with a plaza for artwork <br /> and a playground;ball fields and reatra0ms. The area is phased for <br /> development over two to three years. <br /> 380 <br />
