September 20,2000 <br /> GRANT AWARD-DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ENHANCED PROSECUTION <br /> PROJECT <br /> Mend by Cauvcllmember Warnock, seconded by Councilmember <br /> Overstreet to authorize the Mayor,or his designee,to sign the U.S. <br /> Department of Justice,Office of Justice Program grant award In the <br /> amount of S1S9,131.00 to continue partial funding of the domestic violence <br /> enhanced prosecution project through August 13,2001 and to accept the <br /> special conditions necessary for acceptance of the grout. <br /> Councilmember Gipson questioned special conditions#6 and#7 of the grant <br /> award which state that the recipient agrees that grant funds will not be used to <br /> support the development or presentation of a domestic violence cmrkulum for <br /> primary or secondary schools or ta conduct public awareness or education <br /> campaigns. <br /> City Anomey Some slated that the purpose of this particular grant is to enhance <br /> prosecution of domestic violence offenders and that the species conditions are <br /> imposed by the Federal government on all grant recipients under this ford. <br /> Scort Santoro.Assistant City Attorney,gave a brief overview of additional <br /> domestic violence outreach education which the City of Everett provides to the <br /> community. <br /> Roll was called with all councimmbero voting yes except Councilmember <br /> Anderson who was excused. <br /> Mallon serried. <br /> BID REPORT-THREE LOADER/BACKHOES <br /> Bids for three l0ader/backhoes were opened and publicly read aloud on August <br /> 29,2000 with the following results: <br />
