September 27,2000 <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Everett Department of Code Compliance performed <br /> inspections at 1711 Lombard Avenue('the subject property"),the legal <br /> description of which is as follows: <br /> EVERETT DIV N PLAT OF ELK 351 D-00-LOTS 5&6 <br /> and found that conditions existed that were in violation of::he Everett Municipal • <br /> Code;and <br /> WHEREAS,the properly owner of record was duly notified of these conditions, <br /> as given the opportunity to correct the conditions,Ped had adequateoou ce of <br /> opportunities to appear at hearings to appeal the City's allegations;and <br /> WHEREAS.the property owner faded to correct the violations;and <br /> WHEREAS,following a public hearing,the violations hearing examiner <br /> authorized the City to undertake and complete abatement cr the violations R the <br /> full expense of the property newer if the property cwner failed to abate tem <br /> himself;sad <br /> WHEREAS,the City did incur expenses in completing abatement of said <br /> violations at the subject property;lad <br /> WHEREAS,notice of Council's consideration of the resolution was provided no <br /> the property owner of record; <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED HY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF EVEREST that the expenses set forth in the report attached hereto is <br /> hereby confirmed for the subject property. The City Treasurer is hereby <br /> authorised to certify the amount due and owing to the County Treasurer,which <br /> amount shall then be entered as an assessment upon the tax rolls against the <br /> subject property with interest as provided by law. <br /> 422 <br />
