November 29,2000 <br /> The regular meeting of the Evereu City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> am..November 29.2000.in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall,President Campbell presiding. Upon roll all it was found that Mayor <br /> Hansen and Counoilmembers Anderson,Simpson,Warnock,Gipson,Campbell, <br /> Pope and Overstreet were present. <br /> Councilmember Pope led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the November 22,2000 City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed.Councilmember Gipson abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayen Hanan congravdated Councilmember Simpson on his nomination as <br /> Council President.He mated that he received a copy of a lever from the State <br /> Department of Tanspomtion to Snohomish County announcing an awed of 35 <br /> million in furling to be used for the 112°Snow project. <br /> Mayor Hama remarked that there will be a meeting at the Everet Performing <br /> Arts Center at 11:00 a.m.today to plan a welcome home for the USS Lincoln <br /> for those who would like to attend. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Councilmember Overstreet reminded Councilmember Pope that they had been <br /> sworn in as councilmembaa 23 years ago today. <br /> Councilmember Gipson congratulated Couvcilmembe Simpson ow his <br /> nomination. <br /> Councilmember Simpson requested that the couocilmembes meet with him <br /> regarding liaison assignments for the new year. <br /> 550 <br />
