January 3,2001 <br /> EVERETT STATION/PUBLIC ART <br /> Paul KnRareki,Administration,stated that part of the public art program at the <br /> Everett Station <br /> restoration revolves around the of the Weyerhauser murals <br /> created by Kenneth Callahan h the 1940s. At the Everett Station <br /> goundbreakwg,the Weyerhauser Company Foundation provided a$10,000 <br /> grant to offset the cast of the restoration.He announced that the foundation has <br /> just presented the Cultural Commission with a second grant for$20,000. <br /> Mayor Hansen remarked that there will be a meeting of the USS Lincoln <br /> homecoming planning committee on Friday at 2:30 p.m.at the Everett <br /> Performing Arts Center for those who would tike to attend. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Councihnembars Overstreet and Gipson commented on the Husky's win at the <br /> Rose Bowl and congrsmlated Dennis Erickson on Oregon State's win. <br /> PRESIDENT <br /> President Simpson thanked his colleagues for giving him the opportunity to <br /> serve as Council President and stated his goals for the year 2001. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Maine requested an executive session regarding a litigation <br /> The erasion A expected to last approximately 10 minutes with no anticipated <br /> announcement to follow. <br />
