January 24,2001 <br /> He reported that he attaeded a meeting on critical Oansporlatlon <br /> needs is Olympia.He will be attending a Combined Sewer Overflow executive <br /> committee meeting in Washington,D.C. <br /> Councilmember Warnock stated that he atteted a conference sponsored by the <br /> Council of Urban Economic Development. <br /> PRESIDENT <br /> President Simpson remarked that Doug Levy,Government Affairs Liaison,is <br /> attempting to set up a schedule for the councilmembers to meet with State <br /> legislators on February 14 and 15,2001. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Soine requested as executive session regarding two real estate <br /> matters awl one litigation matter.The session is expected to last approximately <br /> 30 minutes with no anticipated announcement to follow. <br /> REPORT <br /> Deb Williams,Council Director,stated that Councilmember Campbell has <br /> injured his leg in an accident and will not be in attendance for as undetermined <br /> period of time. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Michele Hoverter,5502 S.Y°,spoke regarding'citizen comments"and her <br /> inability to acquire additional time for a presentation to the City Council. <br /> Attorney Soine remarked that it is important for the public to remember that <br /> opportunities to make presentations to the City Council are a mater of privilege <br /> and at the discretion of the Council. <br /> 31 <br />
