March 7,2001 <br /> The regular mating of the Everett City Council was caned to order at 8:30 a.m., <br /> March 7,2001 in the City Council Chambers of the Bvaett City!fall,President <br /> Simpson presiding. Upon roll can it was found that Mayor Hansen and <br /> Councilmembers Anderson,Simpson,Warnock,Campbell,Gipson,Pope,and <br /> Overman were pre. . <br /> Mayor Hansen led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the February 28,2001 City Council mating were approve as <br /> printed <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Hansen introduced Dr.Arthur Grossman who read a resolution from the <br /> Parks and Recreation Board of Commissioners in auppod of the conversion of <br /> Pasch Park soccer fields to artificial Old composition fields and the development <br /> of additional fields within the Parks system. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Courrcihnember Anderson stated that Councilmemba Overstreet had expressed <br /> concem at a previous City Council meeting re,gaiding the possibility of being <br /> mek in an elevator in the Wall Street Building during a power outage. The <br /> concern was ken to the Safety Committoe where they were told that Ore <br /> elevators are programmed to go to a certain floor and remain open dudng the <br /> remainder of the outage. <br /> Coociimembee Anderson thanked all of the City employees and staff for their <br /> overwhelming support regarding the las of his granddaughter. <br /> Councilmember Campbell remarked that he will be leaving the meeting early <br /> today do to adoctor's appointment. <br /> Councilmember Gipson reported that he had toured teeveral event comers in <br /> Canada with the Mayor and City staff lass week. <br />
