April 4,2001 <br /> Cadman,Ian,Monroe,WA,based upon their unit bid of unit pricer far an <br /> estimated total of082,510.57 including Washington State sales tax. <br /> Roll was called with all councilmembem voting yen. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> RESOLUTION—ODOR CONTROL CHEMICAL <br /> Moved by Commilmember Warnock,smouded by Cauocilmember Simpson <br /> to adopt Resolution No.5032 waiving the public bidding requirements sad <br /> for the sole source purchase uta eoutinuiog supply of the odor and corrosion <br /> control chemical,bioxide,from the Davin Process Divfsiou of U.S.Filter,loc. <br /> as follows: <br /> WHEREAS,pilot projects at Lin Stations No.24 and No.I and the Everett Water <br /> Pollution Control Facility headworks,for the purpose of sewer odor and corrosion <br /> control,were successful;and <br /> WHEREAS,Davis Process Division Mills.Filter,tan is the sole manufacturer <br /> and distributor of the proprietary chemical,hioxidu which reduces sulfide <br /> compounded in sewage,when used in accordance with a patented treatment <br /> process held by Davis Process Division of U.S.Filter,Inc.;and <br /> WHEREAS,the bioxide odor control process has beat successfully implemented <br /> at a number of other sewer lift stations, <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY WINCE.OF 111E <br /> CITY OF EVERETT that the Purchasing Division is authorized to procure a <br /> cont'wing supply of the chemical bioxide from the Davis Process Division of <br /> U.S.Filter,Inc.without the necessity of competitive bidding <br /> Roll was called with all councilmembms voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br />
