May 23,2001 <br /> card games and or amusement games,or that uritis,dlplay,exhibit <br /> or possess pan labs or punch boards with the intent to sell chances <br /> thereon or to distribute for sale pull labs of punch boards. <br /> Moved by Councilmembee Pope,seconded by Councllmember Anderson that this <br /> is declared to be the third and final reading of Council Bill No.01441. <br /> Counciboemb0 Pope stated that this item came before the Budget and Finance <br /> Committee with a rerommmdatian forapproval. <br /> Couocilmember Gipson questioned whether the registrdiao fees were only being <br /> eliminated for non-profit organiastions.City Attorney Some stated that a series of <br /> registration fees are being eliminated for both profit and non-profit organizations. <br /> CouneJmember Gipson questioned whether the elimination of the$25 registration <br /> fee could be considered a gift of public hands.Ned Johnston,Legal,stated that <br /> the requirement to pay the registration fees has been on the books for at least 15 <br /> years and has never been enforced.
