June 13,2001 <br /> JOB COMPLETE—SANITARY.SAFETY AND SHUTDOWN <br /> IMPROVEMENTS <br /> To accept the Sanitary,Safety and Shutdown Improvements project as <br /> complete allowing the Mayor to sign a certificate of completion. <br /> Roll was called on the consent agenda items with all councilmembem voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> LETTERS OF INTEREST—DESIGN/SNOHOMISH RIVER PEDESTRIAN <br /> HRIDGB <br /> Moved by Couaeilmember Overstreet,seconded by Couvcilmember <br /> Warnock to authorize a call for letters of interest far the design of the <br /> Snohomish River Pedeetriao Bridge. _ <br /> Dave Davis,Engineering stated that this is the first step in the development ofa <br /> Snohomish River Pedestrian Bridge between East Marine View Drive and Gaups <br /> Riverfrovt Park He remarked that the City has been sueceabd in acquiring some <br /> federal funds for the project.Due to Coast Guard regulations,the City is required <br /> to build the bridge at the same height as the FS bridge,55f in the air. <br /> Bob Cooper,Perk,commented on the many recreational opportunities which the <br /> pedestrian bridge will provide access to at longus Riverfrovt Park <br /> Couvcilmember Gipson questioned where the foods for the project will come <br /> from. Dave Davis,Engiovvvitg stated that at this time the City has <br /> approximately$200,000 iv federal Emil,development impact dollars,Public <br /> access f from the Pmt of Everett and an IAC Grant in the amount of 5118,000. <br /> Roll was called with all couacilmembers voting yes. <br /> Motion canted. <br /> 212 <br />
