lune 13,2001 <br /> RESOLUTION—AUSTIN HOUSE <br /> Moved by Councilmember Overstreet,a 0000ed by Couneilmember <br /> Wornoek to adopt Reaalu0oo No.5057 accepting the recommendation of the <br /> Everett Historical Commission to place the Austin House,2201 Rucker <br /> Avenue,on the Everett Register of Historic Places as fmbws: <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Everett adopted Ordinance No.1355-07(amended 1956- <br /> 93)authorizing the Everett Historical Commission to consider the mmita of <br /> pmpertia for placement an the Everett Register of Historic Places and to <br /> recommend to City Council that pmpertioe be placed an the Everett Register. <br /> WHEREAS,the owners of the Austin House requested the Everett Historical <br /> Commission to consider the House for inclusion in the Everett Register of <br /> Historic Places. <br /> WHEREAS,the Everett Historical Commission reviewed the request and at a <br /> public hearing determined that the Austin House meets the Everett Register <br /> Criteria: <br /> • Embodies distinctive mchitechnal characteristics of a type,period and <br /> style of construction. <br /> • Exemplifies special elements of the City's cultural,economic and <br /> architectural history. <br /> • leassociated with the lives of persons significant to local history. <br /> WHEREAS,the Everett Historical Commission found the rem on and <br /> rettoration work accomplished by the owners to be consistent with lime Secretary <br /> of Interim Standards for Rehabilitation and Maintenance of Historic Properties. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,HE IT RESOLVED: <br /> I.The Everett City Council concurs with the Everett Historical Commission <br /> recemmendation to place the Austin House an the Everett Register of <br /> Historical Placa. <br /> 217 <br />
