Craig Fullerton,Real Property,stated that the process is <br /> regulated by Federal and State statutes. They require that the City retain the <br /> services of an independent appraiser to appraise the property based on its highest <br /> and best use. In addition,we sad that appraisal to a review appraiser who <br /> provides an appraisal based on fair market value.An offer is then made to the <br /> property owner based on those appraisals. <br /> CounciMwaber Pope questioned what happens if the property owner gels an <br /> appraisal which is different from the City's. Craig replied that if there is a <br /> disagreement as to the value of the property,the City is required to pay up to <br /> 6750.00 for the property owner to have an independent appraisal done. <br /> Coundmadaa Warnock questioned what the City is required to do regarding <br /> relocation.Craig stated that this is also regulated by Federal and State statutes. <br /> The City has retained the services of a professional relocation agent to access each <br />
