October 24,2001 <br /> Roll was called with all councihmembers voting yea. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> RESOLUTION—SPEED LIMIT/HOLLY DRIVE <br /> Moved by Couneilmember Anderson, seconded by Couuplmembm <br /> Overstreet to adopt Resolution Na.5118 eslabdshlug a 30-mile per hour <br /> speed limit on Holly Drive from Dakota Way to Airport Road. <br /> Councilmember Warnock questioned whether this item was discussed with the <br /> neighborhood association in that area Wayne Wentz,Traffic Engin«r,stated <br /> that the request for a change came from the neighbors but there was no formal <br /> procedure to nutty the neighbodhood. <br /> Councilmember Gipson questioned whether there are pedestrian/bicycle paths <br /> along Holly Drive at this time or whether they are anticipated for the future. <br /> Wayne stated that it is anticipated that a path will be added as the roadway is <br /> improved. <br /> Resolution No.511815 as follows: <br /> WHEREAS,the porton of Holly Drive from Dakota Way to Airport Road has <br /> recently been annexed to the City of Everett;and <br /> WHEREAS,new residential development and increased pad-Brim activity along <br /> that portion of Holly Derive continues to occur;and <br /> WHEREAS,the speed limit on Holly Drive north of Dakota Way is 30 miles per <br /> hour and a consistent speed limit facilitates enf sok and <br /> WHEREAS, the Transportation Advisory Committee concurs with the <br /> recommendation of the Traffic Engineer to lower the speed limit on Holly Drive: <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF E V ERETT that the following be established: <br />
