October 20,2001 <br /> Staff recommends that the contract be awarded to Miller Shingle Company,Inc., <br /> the highest and mast responsive bidder. <br /> Hes AWARD_DONKEY DAMPER TIMBER SALE <br /> Moved by Couocilmember Anderson,seconded by C0000llmember Warnock <br /> that the contract for the Donkey Damper Timber Sale be awarded to the <br /> highestortresponsive bidder,Miller Shingle Company,lac,Granite Fade, <br /> WA,based upon their writ bid of unit prices for an estimated total of <br /> $610,110.00 as received at the bid opening held at p.m,October 16,2001. <br /> Roll was celled with all comuihnembms voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> AGREEMENT—COMMERCIAL VEHICLE INSPECr1ONS ,l <br /> Moved by Councllmember Pope,seconded by Councllmember Simpson to <br /> authorize the Mayor to enter ininteragency agreement with the <br /> Washington Slate Patrol to allow the Everett Police Department to perform <br /> commercial vehicle inspections. <br /> This agreement will maximize the effective utilitimtiov of commercial motor <br /> vehicles,drive and cargo inspection resources,avoid duplication of efforts and <br /> er«pand the number of inspections performed Each pertyshall defend,protect and <br /> hold harmless the other from and against all claims,suits and/or anti0ns rising <br /> Dom any negligent or intentional act or omission of that party necessary for the <br /> performance of this agreement <br /> Councilmmiber Pope requested father information regarding this item. Bill <br /> Deckard,Police,stated that the City of Everett must recognize Out the <br /> Washington State Patrol is the one agency within the State that is responsible for <br /> isuing deals to commercial vehicles end keeping ramrde before the Poach <br /> Police are enNorizd to slop vehicles and do inspections.This agreement satisfies <br /> Out requirement. <br />
