November 14,1001 <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF EVERETT,WASHINGTON,as follows: <br /> Section I. Appointment of Finance Director. Pursuant to U.S.Treasury <br /> Regulation Section 1.103-18(D,the City Council hereby designates and appoints <br /> the Finance Director of the City as the responsible official for the purpose of <br /> Sering statements of official intent w compliance with Treasury Regulations <br /> ction 1103-18. <br /> Section 2. Statements of Official Intent. Upon a determination by the <br /> Finance Director that the costs of a particular capital project may be reimbursed <br /> from the proceeds of a tax-exempt obligation(s)of the City,the Finance <br /> Director is authorized and directed to execute a certificate of official intent, <br /> mbsthvtia0y in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A. Each certificate so <br /> executed shall become a pan of the official records of the City available for <br /> public inspection and review. <br /> No capital projects will be undertaken unless such projects have been previously <br /> approved m the customary manner by the City Council,and the execution of <br /> any intent certificate shall not obligate the City m issue any debt,all of which <br /> shall require separate and addrdonal official approval by the City Council. <br /> Roll was called with all councilmembem voting yes except Councnmember <br /> Overstreet who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> RESOLUTION—VACATION/STATE STREET <br /> Moved by CounoBmember Alderson, seconded by Couacilmember <br /> Campbell to adopt Resolution No.5125 accepting the petition nod setting <br /> December 12,2001 at 8:30 a.m.as the date and rime of the public hearing <br /> on the proposed vacation of a portion of State Street,lying north of Hewitt <br /> Avenue and the east/west alley In Block 652,Swalweg's 1°Additon. <br /> 497 <br />
