February 20,2002 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett Clty Council was called to order at 7:00 <br /> p.m.,February 20,2002 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall,President Anderson presiding. Upon roll call it was found that <br /> Council Members Anderson,Olson,Hallos,Gipson,Pope and Overstreet <br /> re present Mayor Hansen and Council Member Campbell were <br /> excused. <br /> Council Member Hatloe led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the February 13,2002 City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Seine requested an executive session regarding a ligation <br /> matter following the meeting. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Michael Cox,1701 1210 Street SE,K-301,spoke on behalf of the Citizen <br /> for a Better Arena regarding the initiative petition promoting a citizen vote <br /> on the Hewin Avenue location for the special events center. <br /> Howard Shaw,13530 Cascadian Way,expressed support for the special <br /> events center. <br /> Lyle Gordon,1321 Bellew Avenue,questioned the financial analysis of the <br /> proposed arena. <br /> Lloyd Wold,810 Grand,spoke in support of the special events center. <br /> Mark Nagel,3315 Federal,made several suggestions related to the <br /> posting of council agendas and changing meeting times. <br /> Coon Olson,6707 Berkshire Drive,expressed concern regarding the lack <br /> of funding for public safety issues. <br /> 55 <br /> 0 <br />
