April 23.2003 <br /> REVENUE WORKSHOP <br /> Travis Earl,Budget,presented a workshop on the general government <br /> revenue status.He spoke regarding historical trends In the major revenue <br /> sources.year to date collections for 2003.and forecasts for the remainder <br /> of the year. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Krell announced that Wggums Park has won an award <br /> of excellence from the Washington Recreation and Palle Association for <br /> the incorporation of cultural dNereity Into its design and the invokement of <br /> local residents in the process. <br /> Council Member Gipson reported on his attendance at the 100. <br /> Anniversary Celebration of Laborers Union Local 292. <br /> He requested that City Attorney Seine bring the need for a helmet law for <br /> children before the Public Safety Commitee. <br /> Council Member Olson reported on his attendance at the International <br /> Trade Mission in Shanghai.China. <br /> President Halos announced that it is National Secretaries Week end <br /> acknowledged Deb Williams,Council Director,for her hard work. <br /> He responded to Council Member Overebeet's request at last week's <br /> meeting to discuss the possibility of holding additonal night Council <br /> meetings. He stated that after meeting with each council member <br /> regarding this proposal,there appeared to be no support from the majority <br /> of the Council to change the meeting schedule. <br />
