• <br /> • <br /> • <br /> May 14,2003 <br /> THANK YOU <br /> Mayor Anderson thanked the community and all Involved in the USS <br /> Abraham Lincoln Homecoming and parade. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> All council members echoed that the USS Abraham Lincoln homecoming <br /> events were very successful and a credit to the City of Everett. <br /> NIGHT COUNCIL MEETINGS <br /> Presklem Hattie explained that a council member had brought forth a <br /> request regarding adding an additional night city council meeting.It was <br /> discussed in a previous city council meeting and there was not a lot of <br /> support for that suggestion. Since there is still a notion that it is an <br /> ongoing issue he stated that he would like to resolve the issue at this time. <br /> • <br /> Moved by Council Member Matloe,seconded by Council Member <br /> Pope that the City Council remain on the same city council meeting <br /> schedule as it has been since Its Inception—the third Wednesday <br /> night of the month being an vening meeting and all additional <br /> meetings in the month will beet 8:30 a.m. <br /> Moved by Council Member Overstreet to amend the motion to have a <br /> second non-morning(8:30 a.m.start)meeting each month beginning <br /> August 6,2003 fora trial period of ale months for those citizens <br /> unable to attend the morning meetings. <br /> Motion died for lack of second. <br /> Roll was called on the main motion with alt council members voting yes <br /> except Council Member Overstreet who voted no. <br /> Motion carded. <br /> 141 <br />
