May21,2003 <br /> Moved by Council Member Campbell,seconded by Council Member <br /> Olson that this Is declared to be the third and final reading of Council Bill <br /> No.0301.15 as revised. <br /> Greg Lineberry,Police,spoke regarding the problems the City of Everett <br /> has experienced which led to the proposed ordinance.He stated that the <br /> majority of the contested reperk infractions were being dismissed by the <br /> court. <br /> Teresa Cox,Prosecutors,explained that the proposed ordinance Geary <br /> defines what repark'.s end clarifies the distinction between:sparing <br /> outside the central business district as opposed to inside the central <br /> business district.She stated that the amended language should make the <br /> ordinance more enforceable. <br /> Wayne War.,Traffic Engineering,commented that students from Everett <br /> High School have been parking on the 2500 and 2000 blocks of Colby. <br /> He has been working elth the school district to find incentives for students <br /> to park elsewhere,and the school district has budgeted funds to improve <br /> parking by 2006. <br /> Council Member Olson left the Council Chambers. <br /> Katie Dearman,Theopatras,2512 Colby,expressed concern regarding <br /> the Everett High School students who park in front of the restaurant end <br /> block customer parking. <br /> Theodore Papadapouloe,owner of Theopstrss,2512 Colby,slated that <br /> the parking problem in front of his restaurant needs to be remedied soon <br /> to keep him from going out of business. <br /> President Hatoe requested theta letter from Dean's Professional • <br /> Photography,Inc.2504 Colby,regarding similar parking issues,be <br /> entered Into the public record. <br /> Shawna Pierce,Freedom Therapy and Massage.2520 Colby,stated that <br /> she Is preferred provider with several insurance companies.One of the <br /> criteria is to provide adequate parking. If these parking issues am not <br /> resolved,she may lose her preferred provider Status. <br /> 153 <br />
