June 4,2003 <br /> RESOLUTION—PROHIBITING COMBINATION TRUCKSIMAO'SON <br /> STREET <br /> Moved by Council Member Campbell,seconded by Council Member <br /> Gipson to adopt Resolution No.5344 prohibiting certain combination <br /> dump trucks on Madison Street between Broadway and Glenwood <br /> Avenue. <br /> John McDowell,6719 Tyee Road,submitted a petition with 359 signatures <br /> requesting relief from the excessNe Intrusion of trucks into the Madison <br /> residential neighborhood. He stated that rho City's aseletam:e end <br /> consideration of this matter would be appreciated. <br /> Oen Prickett,8730 Tyee Road;Robed Sutton,6605 Glenwood,Karen <br /> Peterson,114 Madison;and Barbara Cosgrove,530 E.Beech Unset <br /> expressed their concerns regerding noise,did,devaluation of property <br /> and quality of lite issues created by excessive Mick traffic on Madison and <br /> Glenwood. <br /> Wayne Want,Traffic Engineer,gave a brief history regarding on-going <br /> problems on Madison and efforts to solve them. <br /> Moved by Council Member Gipson to change the verbiage In the last <br /> paragraph of the proposed resolution to atdke'combination trucks <br /> transporting waste fill material"and replace it with"all combination <br /> trucks". <br /> Motor dud for lack of second. <br /> Moved by Council Member Gipson to continue this agenda Item. <br /> Motion died for lack of second. <br />
