June 18,2003 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 7:00 <br /> City <br /> President Hallow presiding. Uppoon nil Chambers <br /> if was asof hfound that Mayor <br /> Anderson and Council Members Malice,Gipson,Campbell,and Pope <br /> exre present. Council Members Krell,Olson and Overstreet are <br /> cused. <br /> Rachel RlnaidcCook led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the June 11,2003 City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> APP INTMENT—CULTURAL COMMISSION <br /> Moved by Council Member Campbell,seconded by Council Member <br /> Gipson to concur with the appointment of Rag Akrlght to Positron <br /> No.T,Cultural Commission,for the remainder of a six-year Curr:,, <br /> ending December 31,2004. <br /> Roll was called Wth all council members voting yes except Council <br /> Members Krell,Olson and Overstreet who were excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Mayor Anderson slated that the City has submitted its information <br /> regarding the Boeing 7E7 issue to the State of Washington. It will be <br /> included in the State's request for proposal which will be delivered to <br /> Boeing on Friday. He also reported on his top to Washington,D.C.,to <br /> meet with the Department of Defense regarding the Soy and BRAC(base <br /> closure and realignment)issues. <br /> Mayor Anderson announced that the Association of Washington Cities <br /> has identified the City of Everett as a diversity champion.It was honored <br /> for recognizing the importance of as diversity through a diverse workforce <br />
