August27,2003 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was celled fo order at 830 <br /> a.m.,August 27,2003,in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall,President Hatloe presiding.Upon roll call it was Mond that Council <br /> Members Krell.Olson.Hake.Gipson,Campbell,Pope,and Overstreet <br /> re present.Mayor Anderson was excused. <br /> Council Member Gipson led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the August 20,2003 City Council meeting were approved <br /> as printed.Council Member Hatoe abstained from the vote. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Members Krell and Hatloe reported on their attendance at the <br /> BRAC(Base Realignment end Closure)meeting. They stated that the <br /> City of Everett is prepared to support the Navy base if a is placed on the • <br /> closure list. <br /> Council Member Gipson reminded everyone to be watchful of children on <br /> their way to school. <br /> COMMITTEE MEETINGS <br /> Moved by Council Member Pope,seconded by Council Member Krell <br /> to allow all committee meetings to be open to the public. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br /> Motion carded. <br /> Council Member Campbell reported on his attendance at the Downtown <br /> Everett Business Association meeting where they discussed upcoming <br /> events scheduled for the Special Events Center. <br /> Council Member Pope reported that he along with Council Members Krell, <br /> Olson,and Overstreet attended the groundbreaking cen'nony for the <br /> Combined Sewer Outflow protect. <br />
