October 8.2003 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> a.m..October 8,2003 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall.President Hatloe presiding. Upon roll calf it was found that Mayor <br /> Anderson;Council Members Krell,Olson,Hatloe,Gipson,Campbell, <br /> Pope and Overstreet were present. <br /> Council Member Campbell led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the October 1,2003 City Council meeting were approved <br /> as printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Anderson commented that it was an exceirg weekend in Everett. <br /> The S ilvedips played their o pening game at the Events Center a nd the <br /> Sausage Fest had an estimated 15,000 people in attendance.Business <br /> in downtown Everett Increased by 25%to 30%, <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Pope reminded everyone that the Mayor will present the <br /> proposed 2004 city budget on October 29,2003.The first budget hearing <br /> is scheduled for November 5,2003.He urged all council members having <br /> questions or commends to contact the Mayor's office. <br /> All of the council members commented on the weekend Events Center <br /> activities and how great it was to see the enthusiasm and increased <br /> people activity in Ste downtown area. <br /> Council Member Olson stated that the city council has received the 2004 <br /> preliminary budget and that it is available to the pudic. <br /> He also requested time be given to the Budget Director for some <br /> additional budget comments following councils comments. <br /> 323 <br />
