November 19,2003 <br /> Ordinance No.2021-94 and Ordinance No.1671.89,as amended <br /> by Ordinance No.2800-02 and repealing Ordinance No.2707-03 <br /> 2004 BUDGET HEARINGS <br /> Budget Chairmen Pope stated that this the third meeting of the public <br /> hearing.He asked if them were questions from the council members or <br /> the public. <br /> Council Member Olson questioned whether a delay would be helpful for <br /> the new administration. Budget Chairman Pope explained that,due to <br /> time constraints.the process can not be delayed.He stated that there will <br /> be an opportunity for the Mayor to make comments or amendments to the <br /> budget at a later date. <br /> Gary Hatle,3214 Rockefeller,stated that there was a 2004 budget Rem of <br /> $500,000 for the arena. He questioned whether that amount would be. <br /> continued in the 2005 and 2008 budgets.Mr.Hage also questioned what <br /> the change order for$450,000 approved at the November 12,2003 City <br /> Council meeting was allocated for. <br /> Larry Crawford,Administration, stated that the $450,000 was for • <br /> additional amenities for the public space tenant improvements. He <br /> remarked that the$500,000 is in the budget for at least two years and that <br /> it is a reserve account for the Special Events Center. <br /> Moved by Council Member Gipson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Campbell to close the public hearing. <br /> Roll w called with ali council members voting yes except Council <br /> Member Krell who was excused. <br />• <br /> Motion carried. <br />
