November 26,2003 <br /> Paul Roberts,Planning Director.gave a brief background regarding the <br /> Shoreline Master Program. He stated that the proposed amendment <br /> includes two technical changes requested by the Department of Ecology. <br /> He remarked that,an the advice of legal counsel,a recital was also added <br /> which reads, 'Whereas,the Shoreline Management Act,authorizes the <br /> City of Everett to amend its Shoreline Master Program"and a recital was <br /> deleted which begins,'Whereas,the Growth Management Act,RCW <br /> 34.70A.580,provides that the goals and policies of the shoreline master <br /> Ed Paskovskis,Deputy Director,Pod of Everett,spoke in support of the <br /> proposed amendments. <br /> Moved by Council Member Pope,seconded by Council Member <br /> Gipson to close the public hearing. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br /> Motion moiled. <br /> COUNCIL BILL NO.0311-63 <br /> THIRD AND FINAL READING: <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending the Shoreline Master Program to <br /> provide for piers and docks for transportation facilities of <br /> statewide significnce In the aquaticnancy <br /> environment,amending the Everett Comprehensive Plan and <br /> Zoning Code,amending Ordinance No.2021.84 and Ordinance <br /> No.1671-66,as amended by Ordinance No.2600-02 and <br />• repealing Ordinance No.2707-03 <br /> Moved by Council Member Olson,seconded by Council Member Knell that <br /> this is declared to be the third end final reading of Council Bill No.031 t-63 <br /> 404 <br />
