May12,2004 <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Krell reported that she and Mayor Stephenson attended <br /> the kickoff of Sensor Center Week at the Everett Senior Center on <br /> Monday. <br /> Council Member Overstreet reported on his attendance at the National <br /> League of Cities'Institute of Youth,Education and Families Conference <br /> held in Portland,Oregon. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Iles requested an executive session regarding four litigation <br /> matters and one real estate matter. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Renee Quistort,1009 Colby,spoke in opposition to closing the main <br /> thoroughfares downtown such as Colby and Hewitt for special events on <br /> any days other than Sundays and holidays. <br /> Ed Rubatino,3701 Shore Avenue,announced that Rubatino Refuse <br /> Removal has fled with the Washington State Utilities Commission for a <br /> rate increase of 3.9 percent effective July 1,2004. <br /> Joel Starr,219 E.Viewridge Drive,spoke in support of the Classic Car <br /> Show and the Pacific Northwest BBQ Championships. <br /> Counci Member Overstreet requested that agenda Items no.2,6 and 7 <br /> be moved to action Items. <br /> CONSENT ITEMS <br /> Moved by Council Member Gipson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Stonecipher to approve the following consent agenda hams: <br /> 153 <br />
