June 9,2004 <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> STREET CLOSURE—POP AND ARTS FESTIVAL <br /> Moved by Council Member Krell,seconded by Council Member <br /> Overstreet to approve the closure of certain streets from September <br /> 10,2004,7 p.m.,to September 12,2004,8 p.m.,for the Pop and Ars <br /> Festival sponsored by the Snohomish Artist Guild,subject to certain <br /> conditions. <br /> Alice Lodger,3308 Oakes k6;Bill Quistod,1009 Colby;and Timothy <br /> Corpus,Studio Donna,2944 Colby Avenue,spoke in support of the <br /> proposed sheet closure for the Pop and Arts Festival.They suggested <br /> that the main thoroughfares(Colby and Hewitt)be left open during regular <br /> business hours,Monday through Saturday,for future events. <br /> • <br /> Roll was tailed with all council members voting yes. <br /> Motion carded. <br /> BID AWARD—PHONE LINE TIMBER SALE <br /> Moved by Council Member Overstreet,seconded by Council Member <br /> Campbell that the contract for the Phone Line Timber Sale be <br /> awarded to the highest most responsive bidder,Miller Shingle Co., <br /> Inc.,Granite Falls,WA,based upon their unit prices bid extended for <br /> n estimated total of$731,740.00 as received at the bid opening held <br /> at 2 p.m.,June 1,2004. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 185 <br />
